Thanks for all the advice ! I have found an oil based primer at Screwfix . So Mrs H is starting the knotting today. Priming and topcoating next week. I have feigned total incompetence at painting since we got married 10 years ago . I am only allowed to paint skirting boards

I didn't 23 years on I have to admit it's a case of been there and done that to many times. I do listen to the radio to keep up with results and what's going on though. I didn't even get out on the course this year while it was on.
