Thankyou all for your comments. I can start driving again tomorrow but not cycling until a week Thursday. When I had a hip replacement in 1999 it was the other way round, not allowed to drive for 7 weeks but was back on my bike in 25 days. Since then I have cycled over 30,000 miles.

Just a bit off topic. The word Europe is, variously, thought to derive from Phonecia, Greece and the semitic countries . I prefer to think of it as the English sub-continent :hehe:. By the way, although Europe is said to be a 'continent' I think that shows an enormous egotism on the part...

As far as the horticultural training goes, probably yes. At Kew though, you have to do it all in the public eye. A lot of pressure for a newbie. If I were 40 years younger and I had a choice between Wisley and Kew. It would definitely be Kew.

Yes, that's how this particular board works, on some others, posts stay as "new" unless you log off and come back again. Other boards may have different systems too. I'm just glad new people seem to be joining at a faster rate than a few months ago. New people coming to boards help keep them...
