Ours is a Smeg. Similarly, it has a ‘P’ (power) option. It boils a kettle worth of water a lot faster than our kettle, and a lot quicker that gas. But, as I’ve said, one needs decent pans.

Same here John, not been into a Supermarket since March, and we don't miss it one bit. We have deliveries from Asda twice a week. No problems with substitutes, if its not what you really want the delivery guy will credit you on the spot. Even bought our Xmas cards and second class stamps on...

@Purple Streaks this might be one of the safest time to go into hospital. They test everyone staying for a procedure and obviously quarantine those who test positive. And tney have super cleaning protocols in place. No lick and a promise work. Visitors are kept to a minimum so no -12 people...

Absolutely agree. A smile is the friendliest gesture. I always say hello to people walking past. And they usually respond in a kind manner.Masks also control garlic breath I believe and they keep my face warm.

Just to add to the info in post 1 - the older great grand child, 5 years old, asked for toys . The three year old didn't ask for anything at all but immediately said "Hugs".

@ricky101 , the joys of lockdown, I have been viewing a few wheel painting videos. With the specialised wheelpaints and clearcoat, it should be worth a go. The finish achieved is very good. May take some time doing one at a time, but it will really spruce your motor up
