Blimey, looks a bit drastic! Sure it'll be worth it when it's done though. I'm having my kitchen and bathroom roof replaced soon hopefully, really looking forward to that too (not) although it'll be nice when it doesn't leak :D I'd love to learn to do plastering - it's one of those things...

yes I was expecting fork handles! very nice all the same though roders, but humout of four K handles also keesp us going.

I have had mine fro approaching a year now. It wasn't the most expensive type - but has done wonders for my 'gardener's back'! I haven't noticed the thermal reflective problem - but I do have a wool blanket, and two sheets covering the mattress, so maybe they insulate it enough to keep my body...

I am not against killing animals if it has to be done...I think I would be a vegetarian if i felt that way and I have shot rabbits. However I feel it has to be done in as humane way as possible. The rabbits had to be controlled, there was no other way, but I got absolutely no pleasure whatsoever...

Thank goodness it turned out ok Pip if you are ever in a desperate situation when you ring the police tell them you thought you saw the offender with a weapon and you thought it was a gun you will have an armed response team there in minutes.
