It's interesting that our GP's often ask us if we take any exercise and in many cases it's that exercise/sport that causes the problem. Mr S not only jogged but played badminton (a fast sport) for many years, the reason he now needs a hip replacement.

You can help discourage them from going to seed by watering them very heavily two to three times a week (in this drought three times would be best). If you only water them lightly but frequently they will not send their roots deeper and the hot dry weather will make them want to set seed.

True .It meant that if I didn't promote work for myself I didn't earn the money that other jobs were earning.
