Thank you all! Celebrated last night with a meal at the local Peruvian resto...I kid you not You get awfully tired of duck living here ...

Have been into a Martial arts since the age of 11.. black belt in three separate disciplines but age means I train at a low level now. Currently into playing guitar but it's on the back burner while I complete the renovation of our bungalow.Oh and gardening in between

Another update.No more moles. Well not since the poison went down and a bit of time allowed for it to work.So anyone who gets the pretty annoying and difficult to shift moles move in don't bother with traps just get some Raco rat poison off Ebay and pop it into the runs.

We've been moving pots around, and 'found' this one which had been hiding at the back behind all the foliage......It is almost a marrow!We're generally getting whoppers this year - here is the one above, with another two picked today, and my first two tomatoes of the year.... finally!!

Chess @longk, there are similarities be they slightly distant. I played chess when I was young and my late Mum who was a very very good tennis player (couldn't get where she should have done due to WW11) was Scottish chess champion despite the fact she loathed chess and only played to appease...

I'm sure back in Victorian days people said what is the point of railways, the peasants that is. As they couldn't see of what use it might be to them.Personally it doesn't matter one way or the other to me whether HS2 goes ahead or not, but it does in my mind go a bit towards pointing out...
