burrs are a nuisance! Snoop our Bichon picks them up regularly when his coat is long (like now) and we go for walks in the forest, im afraid i have given up trying to tease them out and now just cut them right out with the scissors when i get it right you'd never know any hair was missing but...

they can be done at 3 -5 days old as well as pups !!! I have helped do that as well when my mums whippet had pups with a pair of curved scissors and some purple crystals which I have forgot the name off or that stick used for shaving cuts . But best to be removed when spaying etc at the same...
