I think the man was more worried about emotional injury to the bird----for the bird to hear him yelling "get off of me" when it seemed to the bird, he (the man) was quite compliant in the beginning.

I own a cat and a corn snake. When we arrange to go away for a week or two my brother in-law house sits and looks after them. The cat is fed twice a day (morning and evening). If we go away for a week I will usually feed the snake before we go, that way she will be ready for her next feed...

Aww bless your ferrets are really cute. I used to have ferrets but got too busy to get them out to play so my mate had them and worked them and they loved it

Oh, yes he was a good dog. And always good with the neighborhood children, no matter what size they were. Yes, looking over this morning not seeing him watching me from his deck was strange. But, it was good he lived 14 years and never sick. Thanks all. I got one of those Pet Sympathy cards...
