Thought I ought to add a post about my new Polytunnel.
The premise for the new polytunnel was to have a tunnel almost the size of my second allotment plot, I'd asked the people who run it "How big can I go", and was given the answer "as big as you want, but you have to leave a metre gap between it and neighbouring plots", the width worked out about right, the length is shorter, but I am in now way bothered, as I do still need some outdoor space to work with.

Hi all - long time gardener, new to the forum, and about to design and build my polytunnel.

I have some old lengths of underground water pipe , a bit thick polythene sheet and lots of lengths of spare wood.

I plan to build it over a raised bed that I did last year and has done really well this summer - it's about 1.5m wide by 3.5 long.

If it was just building a polytunnel, then for me it wouldn't be a big challenge as I am very a DIY person .

However , I have a very specific design issue...
I unfortunately have an issue with huge holes being torn into my polytunnel polythene cover, I believe by a cat but it may be something else, you can see the claw marks in the photos.
I was wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this problem and what the best solution might be..
The polythene sheet is from Premier Polytunnels, and I also have some of their repair tape, although these holes are very large.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!

So now I'm thinking I could use it for more crops and am looking for suggestions.

Ideally need summer-cropping stuff or at least early autumn. We're looking to...

Hi

I noticed there were some threads about metal sheds but they were posted some time ago and if I bring up an old thread I might be ridiculed as I have been on other forums in the past.

I am thinking of getting one for the new lawnmower.

So, here is my question.

Do you have one or just have an opinion of them, what do you think please.

If bought the following seeds with a view to sowing in early march.

Carrot Nantes 2
Cabbage Savoy - Winter King 3-4 Gram
Mr Fothergills - Parsnip White Gem Seed Tape
Turnip - Purple TOP White Globe

Will all these be happy growing in the one bed? I'm thinking of sowing some and then waiting a few weeks and sowing more and maybe a month or so later sow more so I have a spread out harvest. Once the seed packets can I just store them in the house, in a dark place?
