Hello everyone, I have just joined this forum today and noticed this thread. I ordered a lots of plants from them in 2006 and never received a thing. I complained several times and the only time I heard back was when I said I wanted to order some more plants and was waiting to check the quality...

There are some good GC's around. I have been to Monkton a few times when visiting in N Petherton and it is a good one.

The minute I read the name Poddingtons I thought of the one you mention.:gnthb: Used to buy from them and the plants have always been good from there.

Hi Cookie Monster.My golf club is actually in Stockwood Lane I know the GC you're talking about. It's also called 'the secret garden' (I think). Spent a few quid up there over the years. But then again, I've spent a few quid everywhere ! (GC wise) Cheers...freddy.

I'd agree with you Aaron. They were the only nursery that had a Clerodendrum trichotomum that I wanted for a present a couple of years ago. Although I live nearly an hours drive away, it was worth the journey. Chris

Yes Scotkat I have been with Jersey Plants a while now and find them excellent value for money and no p+p just ordered 100+60 free impatients and 50 +20 free geraniums all for £19.98 Another good offer is on in the poundland shops I had 2 cactus dalias 16 lilies 4 assorted ground cover...

There's Old Barn Nurseries on the A24 about 6 miles south of Horsham. A bit of a warehouse, but they do some bargains (6 mini perennials for £10 as an example). I'll check with my boss tomorrow - a keen gardener and a Hove resident, and come back to you.

Hi FS, I would imagine it's packaging was badly damaged or the whole item was damaged by the carrier.. They do not like parcels leaking anything.. I am just glad it was never delivered & you have not had to deal with it.. Hope your replacement arrives safely.. :thumb:
