I love her but do find the scent erratic. Sometimes strong and gorgeous, other times/blooms negligible. Ours took a couple of years to settle and really get going, before then they flowered well...

Advice for Rose Cuttings
Good luck. I have several rose cuttings on the go myself after taking loads at various times thru the season. The ones that have worked are the early autumn cuttings but only with 3 varieties...

Pruning a Tall Overgrown HT Rose
I'd cut it back fairly hard, if it doesn't come back from that you have not really lost anything as it sounds like its far too tall and always will be if you dont try.

How far to cut this back ?
Do you know what sort of rose it is? Climber, shrub etc? Do you know how old it is? Does it only flower once in summer or does it repeat flower? Without knowing I would just cut off any dead bits,...
