Newly planted Compassion climber - ok to start tying in?

I think it's OK for the moment but when it grows new canes then tie them where you want while they are still flexible.

    What's happened to my rose?

I've had a good look. It definitely has plenty of room - for this year anyway. Then I'll do what @infradig suggests. I don't want to waste a good container on it.

    Arch Roses

Hard to see in this photo, but I have been very pleased with how Lilac Bouquet has done on my arch. Repeats well, but does not have much of a scent.

Pruning a Tall Overgrown HT Rose

I'd cut it back fairly hard, if it doesn't come back from that you have not really lost anything as it sounds like its far too tall and always will be if you dont try.

    Is this rose grafted?

Ooh interesting, I didn’t know that. It’s a pretty thick stem but if I cut it shorter I might be able to pull it off.
