Good evening Butterfield ,if possible remove the shrivelled Buds down to the next eye bud and maybe some mulch round the base if you can get to it, something which will retain the water

I took loads of rose cuttings last summer. They all rooted very quickly using rooting powder. I forgot to bring them in during the winter...................nuff said I am going to take more next week and then I will try the hardwood ones ala Woo.

What a shame about your roses Simmel. Unfortunately adverse weather tends to have that effect on them. If you dead head those roses they may flower later in the year and give you some kind of show. Just call it Plan B.

Well I've done the deed and lifted the rose. I didn't buy a new pot of it, as I have a smaller one available and I was very glad I didn't in the end. The root system was tiny, not much more developed than when I planted it two months ago, so it fitted into the pot with plenty of room to spare...

Does the rose look healthy B17 - green leaves and all that. If so then stop worrying about it. Some of my roses haven't flowered yet. It was a terrible winter and everything is late. If the plant is healthy then those roses will be along. In the worst case - it will flower next year. Be patient.
