Which rose bushes have the strongest scents, & which online stores are the best places to buy roses?
Thanks, I’ll do that. Not sure where I’m going to plant them yet. Would be nice to have them not too far from the house, so I can pop out and sniff them!

yes the current roses that are blooming look like typical Alexandra of Kent roses now. so it was probably weather related

I agree with If it's a climber I wouldn't prune the tallest strongest stems down in February but I would remove the skinny straggly stems and prune the side shoots on the main stems to a few...

Invaluable advice, thank you. I also have a very old rambling rose, which attacks me if I get anywhere close, I will make a determined effort to cut it well down.Protective gloves at the ready.
