Acer plant may be dead!
In my experience, in general, if a plant drops its leaves, then its not dead. If the leaves die and are still attached, then its probably dead.

Ian I have the same problem with bought citrus plants, not had the problem with ones grown from seed. Cant explain why though.

hello you can prune in autumn or spring you can prune back to the trunk and it will regrow so it is as hard as you like they are so easy good luck they are brilliant as topiary plants :D :D
