Golden Elm, Dying?
Its just another thought
But maybe if growing elm was in effect banned, outside botanic garden etc. for a number of years, would the beetle and the disease die out? Any thoughts?

Pear Tree Problem
No they are still maintaining their shape, just with these small spots on them. The main worry I had was the branches that were dying.

I'm looking for a dead tree...
Our local council are pretty good at creating dead trees, either they plant them and forget about them, or they strip the bark at the base with a strimmer. Still it keeps them in a job.
