Oak transplant trouble
I’ve begun to think as much - two smaller oaks are producing new soft buds but the one in question is still paused. Hopefully the deer don’t ringbark it before next year

Oak tree sapling, dead or alive?
If it is 14 years old but only 2' tall, if there is any life in it, it could be a good candidate for bonsai. I would probably put it in a pot and make sure it doesn't dry out. If there are no...

Pricking our Beech tree seedlings
Yes it's easy to do and they readily transplant. You need to put them in a very deep pot or ideally in a nursery bed for a couple of years as they put down long roots.

Heeded the advice and have implemented on all the trees. Looks a lot sharper and hopefully provide the trees with plenty of nutrients too.

Acer tree leaders?
Hi Max6389They're likely to be the leaders, yes. The tip buds control the trees height, so removing them will help in keeping the tree at the height you require.
