    Patchy pear tree

    Have a pear tree and the bark has patchy areas pretty much all over it as pictured. Any ideas? Doesn't seem to be in any distress, no visible bugs/critters/crawly things and has fruit forming...

    Hey well latest is its still surviving and as for how deep in pot I have put it to the same level as was in the pot. It has had a good watering after the storm last night. Think I have cracked it...

    Magnolia issue

    I was going to say that we had late frosts this year which could be responsible for killling the blooms, but if the tree itself is dying I'm at a loss. Hopefully someone else will be along soon.

    Good Result With Pear Tree.

    I've heard of pear cider, but never pear wine - sounds lovely .. just don't do the tree naked (neighbours and all that :heehee: )
