I think its a bit of a tall order myself.Irish yew stays very compact, its slow growing though.I cant see the point in planting anything fast growing as you will be for ever trimming it.

Next door to me they're having a very big Yew tree pruned down. The estimate for the job is £1,000. I'd shop around for that one - but it's not going to be cheap.
