Lets hope so - they are some of my favourites and I's be really sad to lose them. Only 2 are white - I also have a green goddess (which struggled this year (its first)for some reason) and a blush...

Apple tree - cankers?
If it is any consolation, some of our apple trees had quite a bit of canker on them when we moved in. The canker is still there, the trees fruit well almost every year and we moved in 36 years...

Pruning Apple Trees
We have lots of crabs (apples that is). Prune them exactly as for spur fruiting apples if they need shaping. Otherwise leave them alone.

Hi Don't know if this will help but this is a really blog good post on how to remedy a tree that is falling over. We have an old apple that was suffering and it looks a lot better (more upright)...

Tree maintenance advice please
We were going to try laying it (if that's the right term?) but much of it was too old and brittle so we decided to go for the severe hair cut approach. I hope it works out.

Carrie, in your situation, I would get a family tree. This is one where you have two varieties grafted together, eg, Coxs Orange Pippin and James Grieve. :thumb:
