I'd leave it for the time being. If it's looking healthy the parents are probably still feeding it, even though you haven't seen them. Obviously it's in danger from predators, but it might just need time to be able to find it's wings. Just keep an eye on it and see what happens.

You didn't see the look in its eyes, 160 million years of reptilian hate. I even said to it before I took my hand off its beak, "Now you're not going to have a go at me are you?" I gently hoiked it away and it came back just to bite me:DOH: No thanks for untangling it there then.

I often leave the Loch Garten webcam running while I'm working. Today my computer started to make a very peculiar squeaking noise. It turned out to be coming from a large, stroppy teenage osprey which clearly felt it was entitled to a bigger lunch.

I can just see the local paper headlines... "How to keep your nuts safe from marauding craws" ...Only ever had a woody in the garden once :D, lots of doves though along with the usual garden birdies (and sometimes a couple of Grey Herons)SF

My brother has 'Joe' the crow that sits on his kitchen window sill waiting to be fed with chips. As soon as they're put out for him he takes them off to dunk in the bird bath before eating.

Thanks for the lovely picture Strongy. I have an emotional connection with the Chiffchaff, a shy secretive bird, and although he only has a two note song I never tire of it. Chris

My brothers got a pigeon loft next to his bedroom, with over 60 racing birds in it. He owns it of course. If they snore he's got a real problem!

As far as I know, mice don't carry disease the same way rats do. We shared the conversion with over 300 of them, they were everywhere as we had no way of keeping them out. Had one crawl the length of my arms under the pillow in bed once. Only got i'll once during the whole project and that was...

There's a lake at work where I go for a stroll at lunchtime and have been watching the waterfowl bringing up their young. There is a definate pecking order, the mallards are at the top with a gang of chav chicks that terrorise the coots and their chicks. The coots dive under the water to escape...
