    I heard the cuckoo today

    There not been any sitings (or hearings:D) of Cuckoos here this Spring which is surprising a the wetland reserve here is teeming with Reed and Sedge Warblers, two of the Cuckoo's main hosts.

    just looked in my pond and i have tiny tadpoles. spawn was only laid 2 week ago. i've never known it develop that quick before but i guess it's because it was laid so late, about 3 weeks later...
