I found the poor little thing dead today. Very sad.

Rusty our Jack Russell can hear them in our garden even With the windows closed. I always don my gardening gloves before picking them up, talking to them, then placing them gently over next door for safety.

Thanks allI'm quite pleased with it as it is taken through glass.I live in a bungalow and have the feeding station where I can see it when I'm drinking my coffee in bed in the morning :DI tend to keep my camera and binos next to me in bed :hehe:

jazmine hes looks so peaceful sitting in your pond and your pond looks fantastic, great photo, my friend gets a frog in her garden and she hasnt even a pond, neighbours 4 gardens up have the pond hehe

Pretty caterpillar but eeeewww on the nest picture though. We get lots of them here in Ontario.

Dont forget to check put the Ospreys Its will about 7 days give or take before they leave. Its amazing what a diet of fish does in a few short weeks!

hi peri thanks for lovely comments, i was just so happy to go back there and see all 9 chicks still there and growing up together, didnt see mum anywere, i did hear the heron was after them when they were little so they were very lucky to have all survived.

yes they do i was wondering why the blackbird was going to the pond so often one day for a drink! no it was picking up tadpoles that had gathered in the shallows only a few of the thousands survive to become adults hedgehogs will take young frogs too i love frogs, defo good to have around...
