There are many different sorts of furry caterpillars and some are widespread.

I hope they aren't either, not my favourite bird, but they will get a shock when winter sets in proper.

I thought he might be but I took him to the rescue who said he was a fledgling wood pigeon so I'll take their word for it! (That's why he'd got no tail..) I thought it was too late for fledglings now, but obviously not.. Anyway they said in about a fortnight he'd fledge and should be fine
