00000000000000000000000000015354Now. This was an effort from last year after I saw grafted tomato plants for sale. I did some googling and came across a few university websites from the States who were into this big time and so had a go. It was a bit amateurish my effort and I only had one survivor for about 20 grafts. The rootstock was Arnold and the scion was Vanessa. The grafting clip was a bit of the outer casing of electrical cabling so this probably didn't help the results either. Also the healing process was probably not the right temp or humidity which caused the demise of most of the grafts.

However this one surviving plant produced a huge quantity of fruit and continued well into November and only eventually gave up the ghost when I dug it up at Christmas

So this year it is serious stuff. More to follow in a blog I will keep on this years efforts
