Hello again Clare, see that you have two lovely hounds!Do they take turns to lie out on the sunny circle? I saw a life size stone one in a garden centre last year, would look great poking out of some shrubbery ( although you have the real deal.)
Hello oakapple, actually I only have the one. Ken the black dog is alas no longer with us - had to be put to sleep last year, after he developed cancer. Very sad as he was still only eight. Tiger is his successor. That stone circle makes a perfect greyhound sun lounge, as you say!
Hi Clare Tiger looks like the beautiful silver Brindle greyhound we had many moons ago ,her coat felt like velvet such a gentle nature. She was rescued from the racetrack. Sorry to read about Ken your beautiful black greyhound.little do they realise themselves how much happiness they give us . Rest in peace ken x
Thank you, Purple Streaks! Yes Tiger was described as a silver brindle on his adoption papers and he too has a lovely soft coat. Dear Ken and my equally dear first greyhound Doc, too; Doc was a red brindle, another very handsome chap. I am always drawn to the big male ex-racers, they are such simple goofy loving souls!
Oh, what a shame. That’s the sadness ( downside) of pet owning, but the upside is the years of pleasure given and taken on both sides.
