The forecast seems to be rain at the beginning of next week, then the Jet Stream sitting on top us, with cold weather returning at the end of the week.:wallbanging::coffee::snork:

Sunny out there this morning. Although we've had cold and frosty days February has been exceptionally sunny (my solar panels have been telling me all about it :blue thumb:).

@wiseowl 13.8C indoors!!!! :hate-shocked: I don't allow our place to drop below 16C even when we're on holiday and never below 20C when we're at home. Wusses of the World Unite!! :heehee:

Good morning @shiney yes I do apologise for the lack of heating, just our own personal life style and beliefs having been around in the days gone by when the only form of heating was our own body warmth and we slept with the Gry's :heehee: the cold killed the germs so that the germs didn't kill us:lunapic 130165696578242 5:we can't get on with central heating, although if it falls below 32 Fahrenheit the timer springs in to action ;)

Brrrrr.... 13.8 -that is cold! :yikes: I keep the house fairly warm as I too am a wussey.

We've got one week left of temperatures dipping below freezing during the day although today and tomorrow are going up to 40f and 50f for a brief break. Think I'll fire up the greenhouse heater and start moving my seedlings out there today. :)

Why have a season extender if I don't use it?

Oh my days 13 degrees?! :yikes: I can just about cope if mine is on 23.. I do blame my father, we had a coal fire. If it went out and he wasn't around, we'd freeze so I think I now take full advantage of having gas! I know, I'm naughty!

Today the temperatures was exactly the same as yesterday but for some reason, while yesterday seemed mild, today felt really cold and yet like yesterday there has been very little breeze to give any wind chill. So it's been a dull, cold day with a smooth ceiling of light grey clouds and no rain. The temperature is 38f and the pressure reading is 1022mbs.:coffee::snork:

                    So does his parrot.

Even when I was a kid, with frost inside the windows, I doubt the house was ever that cold.

Good afternoon @pete yes but at least you had a house, mine was on wheels:heehee: do you rember the winter of 1963:old::lunapic 130165696578242 5:

PS.look there is a simple explanation :heehee:,but I can't think of it at the moment :loll:we were told if your cold then keep moving, the weather station screen is situated on the upstairs landing and I grew up being taught that you didn't heat the rooms up that you weren't using:dunno: downstairs we sit in our shorts because of the heat:phew::phew:

Hi @pete Part of 1963 it started in Dember 1962 and didn't finish until April and was -22 in places;)

I was on this ship driving one of the steam winches which operated the derricks unloading wood pulp in to the barges ,that's when Men were Men:heehee:

It's awful here too. Loads of rain and an ice cold wind. Waiting for my toolbox to arrive and will spend the day inside filling it.
