      It reminds me of Cymbalaria.
It's a creeping plant with small pale purple snapdragon like flowers.

I think the leaves are the wrong shape for Cymbalaria Anthony.

Hi Sheal, but bear in mind a lot of plants leaves as the plant matures. I meant to take a photo of ours today but I forgot, sorry :(

              Hi @silu ,

We have it growing out of an old bird bath which we filled with soil as it wouldn't hold water anymore. It cascades down the sides wonderfully.
It's very easy to grow in shade or in an area which gets a few hours of sunlight a day. It's perfectly hardy and evergreen.

I agree with you the leaves on my plant are quite round and have a more waxy finish. Even in the woodland setting all the mature clumps of this plant still had this look and structure -still a mystery !

Sheal .Thanks .having looked at pennywort photos I think you could be correct .it looks very similar although it says it's a pond plant.
The location I saw it at was on a woodland slope and it was also growing into a dry stone wall - not near water.

You probably looked at Floating Pennywort, which is a different plant. The one you got is a succulent that lives on dry stone walls and cliffs. It'll throw up a tall flower spike in the summer, leaves are edible :)

Zigs is our wild plant expert @martyn bromley, so it looks like he has confirmed the id as Pennywort. :)
