        Warning. Useless trivia alert.

        Kamakaze, contrary to popular western belief, does not mean anything to do with suicide raids. The term literally means "spirit of the wind". It applied to all Japanese fighter pilots. The suicidal acts they became known for arose from the Japanese military culture of 'death before dishonour'. To return home having failed was dishonourable, but with no ammo left, there was only one chance left to complete their mission, so they would direct their aircraft straight at their enemy.

        Anyway, sorry for the digression. Back to crazy animals taking their chances against 2 tonnes of high speed steel :)
