There was something on the news the other day about Syrian rebels that had kidnapped a young boy, not very much older than my son, and after filming themselves taunting the poor kid, they then filmed themselves beheading him. This wasn't IS. It was the same rebel force that we seem to support in opposing Asad. These people are a disgrace to mankind. I'm not suggesting that we should turn a blind eye to the plight of genuine refugees but at the same time in light of recent revelations and events, I think people might start to feel less favourable thoughts about people from that region.

Just read it on the news. So it wasn't a terrorist attack. It seems there was an argument. And this Syrian refugee, a person given welcomed into a safe place having fled violence, chose to resolve the argument by hacking a woman to death with a machete.

Which kind of makes me wonder. If this 21 year old man is so ready to resort to violence and take the life of another that he disagrees with, why didn't he stay in Syria and fight for his country? Perhaps he's only tough enough to fight for what he believes in when he is armed with a machete, and the person standing in front of him is an unarmed pregnant woman.
