Well, there won't be much mess, no taffic lights and no inconvenience for Shiney again

 

Not a happy bunny today.Stubbed my toes yesterday morning and it was very painful walking all day.Today it looks like this. And they keep saying that walking strengthens the bones,although I expect having a VitaminD deficiency doesn't help

Use some tape to strap it to the toe next to it.
Hope it heals quickly

 

Been down to the local minor injuries unit and have had the toe examined.Definetley got a break and have been told to take Paracetamol,Ibuprofen and they have done as 'M' suggested in her post.It will take at least six weeks to heal Also been told to use ice packs on it and to rest the foot as much as possible but that might be difficult as I am not one to usually be a couch potato

Careful about taking ibuprofen for that long, I was on the full strength stuff for a month or so with a tendon injury, suddenly found I was depressed for no apparent reason.

Googled the side effects of the stuff, and lo and behold - depression

Had to take a rum supplement to counteract the effects

 

Ibuprofen is ok in the initial stages because it is an anti-inflammatory as well as pain killer. Once the swelling goes down, Paracetamol should deal with just the pain aspect.

I forgot that I have been taking Co Codamol tablets for my bone pain/Arthritis although I only took four tablets two days ago and none yesterday and then had two Paracetamol that the nurse at the hospital gave me.Will have to be careful as I don't want to cause myself more harm than good
