The promised sunshine didn't quite put in the appearance I was expecting: a quick blink/wink was all it managed.
In a couple of days time we are being promised gale force winds (up to 70pmh) and heavy rain. So, within the parameters of that forecast (lest "life" getting in the way o' mice an 'men) I've planned an out and about day tomorrow and then the shutters will be barred!

I'm quite looking forward to a gale, just as long as its not the damaging kind.
We've been too long in the "mist shrouded no man's land" of no real day and definite night.

Would be good to have some wind to stir up this clogged up atmosphere.

If it was summer time the last few weeks would have been great, but at this time of the year its just gloom.

Cloudy and windy again, the sun tried hard to elbow it's way through but gave up towards dusk. 6C/43F.

Yesterday was cold'ish' with the temperature not rising above 37F with the sun keeping a hazy eye on the day. It dropped to 31F by 2 a.m. but had risen to 47F by 7 a.m. It's now clear, overcast and breezy but rain is forecast for this evening.

@Jiffy the rain is supposed to get to you first - so don't use it all up!

                    Well, it is Winter Solstice.

Didn't bother going out in the rain for the non-existent cloud obscured sunrise, and looking outside I don't think I'll bother with the non-existent sunset today.

One of those days when you cant decide if its raining or not, it never seems to dry up, but then its not really raining, just down right miserable and 10C feels like about 5C.
