What are these seedlings?

    They look a lot like Beetroot to me or Swiss Chard to me but don't know if there are any flower seedlings that have red stems:smile:

    The leaves don't look right to me (pointy ends), but I think that Perennial Sunflower seedlings looked a bit like that when I grew some a few years ago.

    The trouble is that there's nothing in that image to get a sense of scale. What size pot is it?

    I was thinking sunflower or Spinach or chard if you have sown any of them of course.. :SUNsmile:

        Just had a look iat them in my garden and they have green stems and narrower first leaves.


        What about Chinese Lanterns?

          Mystery resolved! They are Malabar spinach .

          Here is a post I found online with a photo showing exactly the same seedlings.
