has nothing to do with the measurements. has to do with He said he had his type of "milk" I thought, well then I do not need to buy more as what was left was plenty for me. But, no he still wanted all three kinds available.

How about this then @redstar when we go shopping together to get food stuff I put items into the trolley that we both enjoy eating.Mr Kandy then puts items into the shopping trolley that only he likes.Over the coming days and weeks Mr Kandy decides he is going to help me eat the food items that we both enjoy until they are all gone. After that he proceeds to eat the stuff that only he enjoys so somewhere along the line I seem to be losing out but when I explain it to him he doesn't seem to get it,talk about being crafty:gaah: so I know what you mean about his and your milk:sad:

In the 27 years of marriage we have only gone food shopping when on vacation somewhere. But get your point.

To add to this. When he does go to buy "his things he likes to eat" If I nibble on those items that "he went out and bought" He says. "Hey--you can't eat that I bought it". Reality I do 99% of the food shopping, so if given that logic, then all the rest of the food in the house is "what I (the wife) has bought, so you can't eat that". So then he would be down to nothing at all in the house to eat except a few little items.

Yeah, but Kandy, for each item you put in that only he likes you should put one in that only you like. Even Stevens :roflol:

My wife once made me a coconut cake, knowing that I didn't like coconut and complained when I didn't eat it.

Rule 1. Never go shopping together! :blue thumb:

I do all our food/household goods shopping. I make up the shopping list, she tells me what she wants added to it, I then write out the list in the order the things are in the store and am able to rush round the store quickly. In theory this works well. In practice the 'rush round the store' part comes a cropper as I keep being stopped by ex-customers for a chat or the store staff asking me for advice!

Mrs Shiney does all her clothes buying on her own.
Her: "Do you want to come with me?" (translation:- I'd like a chauffeur)
Me: " No thanks." (translation:- Men don't understand indirect question. :heehee:)

                            I'm the same.

"I need to go into town at some point."

Several weeks later having not been into town.

"I've been telling you for ages that I needed to go into town."

                            :gaah:

                            I would prefer.
"Can we go into town at some point this week?"
                            That works for me.

@KFF we use those scanner thingys that reads the bar codes so the items go straight into the shopping bags after they have been scanned and often we can both be indifferent parts of the isle so often I don't see the stuff he puts in until we are at home packing it away:sad:

@shiney we both do the shopping together as we normally do a big shop only going every two weeks or so because Mr K hates shopping with a passion (unless it is car/camera shopping). If I went on my own I would never be able to lift the heavy bags out of the trolley into the car and at the moment since I have had my foot op and we have the new mini he likes to drive it everywhere which I don't mind as I can enjoy the scenery

Our new fridge/freezer arrived last evening so now Mr Kandy is transferring fresh and frozen items from one to the other now we have got back from the Lottie. At some point we have to get the old fridge/freezer out of the kitchen and into the big car forgoing up the tip but that won't be happening at this present moment in time.

For most of my working life I did the food shopping and both of our clothes shopping. When we retired we both went food shopping weekly but t'other half annoyed me by rushing around the shop returning each time with an armload of what he wanted, dumped it in the cart and continued on his foray. He would often be in the checkout before I had finished at the veg/chilled counters at the end. On one occasion nearly three years ago he was checking out and I was picking up yogurts when I had an accident turning (arms full as my cart was in the checkout) resulting in a broken leg and hip replacement :yikes: ... t'other half had to be retrieved from the checkout!!!! :hate-shocked:

I do NOT go shopping with him any more and he only goes every 2/3 weeks ... luckily I have a large pantry and two fridge freezers.

PS I have edited as it was December 2014 ... my, doesn't time fly? :rolleyespink:
