Am I missing something in the way the American Governments works, redstar??:doh::dunno:
You're saying that Mr Trump stands alone from the White House Administration??. Most of those in the Administration were on his presidential campaign and given jobs in the Administration by him and him alone. All the people who have been fired have been hired, and then fired, by Mr Trump. A quick scan of my memory says that at least 15 staff were fired or have left under a cloud under Mr Trumps regime........those people being.....

Mike Flynn Preet Bharara , Derek Harvey, Katie Walsh, James Corney, Reince Priebus, Michael Dubke, Walter Shaub, Anthony Scaramueel, Sean Spicer, Michael Short, Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, Tom Price, and finally [so far] Omarosa Manigault. And, amazingly, all in less than 12 :doh:months.

So all those people were hired by Mr Trump and not some down town Employment Agency:dunno:
All Soap Operas have in their cast a central character around which the other characters scripts runs and yet in this particular badly scripted and acted Soap Opera the avid "Trumponians" are themselves "writing out" the main character and saying he's on a different channel. What's the name of that big bird that can't fly, lays big eggs, wait a minute, wait a minute, it'll come to me:scratch:
    upload_2017-12-25_22-52-16.jpeg

American political history say otherwise, redstar:dunno::scratch: Even in Clinton's era he failed to fire [or had cause to] as many people or had an Administration that openly admitted, after being found out, that they had lied or acted in such a way that it was against the National Security.
Ombama, who's birth place and right to be an American Citizen was questioned and trampled in the gutter those those "extremists" who, at the time, were standing in it, and even today there are those who still believe he wasn't an American and the World is flat. I can't remember or find any record of a Soap Opera of any kind during his articulate Presidency but there is plenty of evidence of a vitriol hate campaign against the first Black President...although I'm sure that latter had nothing to do with it:dunno::snorky:
There is plenty of evidence though that, despite Mr Trump claiming the glory, that the American economic state which was in a deep low after the big slump was at the end of Obama's presidency at a record high. That, I know, will never {and can't be], be recognised by the devout Republicans who would be happier if it the USA was a one party state.

I think the World might agree with the former and question the latter, while thinking he's doing an excellent job of creating a bigger, deeper and more murky one in which the present Administration is living in.......and of course, although he hired them all, he has nothing to do with or is responsible for.:coffee::dunno:

Not a big moan but a moan, nevertheless.

I decided to give the bird feeders a proper clean this afternoon. These are all tubular plastic hanging feeders. I wash them out regularly but I tend to be rather lax in giving them a really good clean because it takes a long time and is awkward.

I started with the big feeder which is 3ft high and a diameter of 4". It needs to be taken apart completely to give it a proper clean (mould, stuck seeds etc.). The lid comes off easily and all the rest of it needs unscrewing. The inside of the base gets quite mucky and that gets removed by unscrewing the bottom two feeding stations. All the rest of the feeding stations then get unscrewed.

The base gets scraped, scrubbed with a brush and washed. The stations get scrubbed and washed. The main cylinder then gets hosed and then cleaned with a giant bottle brush tool. Then hosed again. All this only takes about half an hour but my fingers get rather cold with the temperature just above freezing.

Then the 'fun' part starts! Putting it all back together . Two feeding stations fit together, opposite each other, and the bottom two hold the heavy metal base in place. A long screw goes through both stations and fits into a nut at the other side. Trying to hold the nut in place, inside the feeding station, is difficult when trying to fit the station with the screw into the other side. This is made harder by not having a third hand to hold the heavy base in place (it needs to be in the exact place for the metal nubs on the stations to fit through the plastic cylinder and into the base).

I do all this work on the outside table as there is plenty of room to work in. I eventually managed to do it but it took 15 minutes. Then all the other stations need screwing together - with frozen fingers! I was getting along quite well until Sarafi the cat decided that I wasn't paying him enough attention (he'd been wandering in and out of my legs and talking loudly to me). So he jumped up onto the table and started pushing the screwdriver whilst I was trying to use it.

I spoke gently to him about not getting in my way but got ignored. So I then spoke harshly to him. He obviously didn't like that as he butted me very hard in the goolies :yikes:. Five minutes later, after I had recovered sufficiently I went for help. Mrs Shiney came out and helped (no, not that sort of help! :heehee:) and took Sarafi away until I had finished.

Birds are happy, I've recovered and Sarafi is acting as though nothing has happened. He's not even our cat!!!!

Poor old Safari, fancy being spoken to harshly by his slave on what should be a happy time of the year.:snorky: Serves you right for getting hit in the nuts and I do hope Safari is recovering well in the warm while your nuts drop off:biggrin:

PS,I hope you used some disinfectant on those bird feeders as we don’t want the poor birdies getting nasty bugs on their feet and beaks:sad: Go back out and finish the job off properly please:snorky::Wino:

That is all. wow. he's not even near the number of people I have fired. You hire them with good intent that you have made the right decision then they don't follow through with their BS they gave at an interview, and you then fire them. Glad, he only wants those that can do the job. I am paying taxes to have them in the office to work for me. So "I" want those there that can do the job.

Don't forget that Mrs. Trump let go half of the other women's "ladies in waiting" to save tax payers money.
And now cutting stupid spending with the UK. yep, more for us.

Isn't the art of interviewing (especially when "experienced" in that domain) about weeding out the BS'ers? :dunno:

So: what does that all boil down to?
Are the interviewers at fault? Or, the interviewee's?
Where does the real responsibility lie? ;)

To my mind, the interviewer has ultimate responsibility.

Interesting perception that the interviewee is to blame for the interviewers choices though :think3:

My point was, Redstar, which you seemed to have ignored/forgotten :heehee:, was that you stated

"The "Soap Opera's" have nothing to do with Trump".

So, it's got nothing to do with the number of people he hired:dunno::doh: Since Trump hired those people in the first place he's responsible for their actions. To say Trump has nothing to do with the White House Administration, and it's activities, is like saying a CEO of a company is not responsible for it's marketing policies or any of it's Staff when he personally hired all the staff.

Well, you've got to admit he hasn't done a good job of that so far when it comes to posts that are highly important in National Security and the economy as what seems an endless flow are being fired for gross misconduct.:dunno::heehee:
. Good Government and business requires continuity, not Soap Operas, or top Government Officials who squirm and lie until found out and then point the finger at Trump. It's not as though we're talking about Staff working for a Chicken Farm, it's about the Top Jobs in the American Administration that requires personnel of integrity, honesty, and loyalty to their Country rather than to themselves and the Dollar.
No proper company will want to waste time and money on interviewing personnel and then hiring them just on that person's own assessment of themselves, and then waiting to find out if they're up to the job:doh: and then firing them which is what seems to have happened.:dunno: How incompetent is that???

Oh, Redstar, how isolationist is that??:heehee: Is the USA heading back to the 1920's and 1930's of isolationist mentality and the Great Depression which was partially caused by that mentality??.
A closed economy is an economy which cannot grow because all monies are being "passed around" in a small circle with no chance to expand. The UK is leaving the EU and is definitely, and realistically, not depending on trading, or any new deals, with the USA but is looking forward to trading with the whole world, whereas the USA is heading down the road of trading, more or less, within itself.
China is looming fast over the trading and economic horizon while the USA is over a Trillion dollars in debt to them. The national debt of the USA is, at the moment, over 6.6 Trillion dollars, which is soon to be added to, with the new Tax Bill, by another forecast [by the Republicans] 1.7 Trillion dollars.
If you want the USA to remain a military and economic Super Power, Redstar, then it has to act like one, taking into account the way it's policies will affect those outside it's borders instead of acting like a child who has had it's own way for years and is suddenly acting like a spoilt child and throwing it's Teddy in the corner while screaming "Me first, Me first!!!" The world does not revolve around the USA even though Trump might think it and his followers believe it.:wallbanging:
So Christian Americans putting their hands over their heart and chanting "God Bless America" while actually meaning "God Bless America and Stuff the other Countries in the World" might not be as true to their faith as they would like to believe.:heehee:
Again I will put my hand over my Heart and say "God Bless America" and mean it:love30:. Although, I have to confess, at the back of my mind is the thought "if he doesn't no one else can/will":dunno:

Yep, but with certain regulations that personnel managers have to face, there are certain "questions" that are illegal to ask. It sometime boils down to the gut feeling. And past jobs are not allowed to say negative things. If a past personal manager were called some are good to elude to certain things with out actually saying them, but the receiver needs to read between the lines also. So how many people @"M" have you interviewed and hired in the past year? Have you been in a manager role? Just wondering. the old saying . don't judge a person if you have not walked in their shoes. I for one am used to working with CEO's and Presidents of companies, and understand what my President is doing. He is doing a grand job.

                        Agree :blue thumb:

Over the years I've interviewed nearly a thousand and employed hundreds. Of all those I've only ever sacked one person and that was for not returning to work from holiday on the correct day. She was warned before going on holiday that I had heard that she intended taking three extra days and told her that if she's not back on the right day she needn't bother coming back.

I saw her about ten years later, in a social situation, and she said that it was her biggest regret in her employment life.

Hiring people is down to common sense and logic and the basic framework of hiring and firing, and the standards needed, can be understood by those people who haven't done it, and who would do it better probably. You can only tout experience in hiring personnel when the number hired is vastly smaller that those fired after you've hired them.
I've been, over the years, hired as a "Trouble Shooter" by numerous companies including Global companies, by Owners and Directors whose companies have run into trouble due to Managerial and staff problems and have hired new staff and dismissed present staff who were the problem. After a while, you establish a method of interviewing, within the legal parameters, that enables you to hire the right personnel. In the hundreds of people I've hired for companies I've only had one mistake. I've also run a regional Crown Court for two years that requiring recruiting and restaffing responsibilities, and now "touch my forelock" to five Crown Court Judges even though I should have retired some years ago.

Agreed, but that then underlines the fact that Trump has only taken on staff by word of mouth.....their large, boasting, mouth. Most of the people fired in the Trump Administration were in the top circle of political jobs and not the "Coffee Boys" as childishly claimed by Trump, Sarah Sanders and the like. One of two might be forgivable, or maybe not because of the status of the jobs, but so many fired in less than 12 months points to gross incompetence by the Hirer.
When I see all the blind claims that Trump is a great President, Business Man, Patriot, etc, I get a mental picture of a man buying an old Banger of a car with everything not working properly or not at all, while the Salesman is desperately saying "Well, the Horn works":heehee:

When I answered that, was thinking you meant the stuff coming out due to Obama time, and Clinton. I actually don't see other stuff as "Soap Opera's. It frankly does not bother me. Shame it bothers you all.

@shiney your regulations over there are different than your regulations over here for application process. So since your pointing to that its the interviewers fault, guess I am also inept and without common sense as I have hired much and fired much. Perhaps the job you hired for was a simple easy one of just counting pegs. compared to my multi task one that deals with human lives. As does my Presidents jobs that deal with lot more issues than counting pegs. you can't compare apples to oranges.
