@Sheal Canon's are good make and the reason I asked the question about your camera, as I have a friend who as staff's and when she came to see me with my dog...she brought a Camera similar to yours but bigger and the weight...well lets say I wouldn't hold it with out her grip on it and she always had canon but the zoom's are excellent and yours says it all :dbgrtmb:

Your friend's camera was probably a DSLR which will be bigger and heavier especially with larger lenses attached. I have one also but the one above is a Bridge camera, slightly smaller and lighter.

@Sheal It must have been because the lense was extensive and large and her previous camera lense sold for £650 a few years back before she had that new one.

They look a ton around your neck :heehee:

Yes, they are heavy, when I'm out with both cameras I keep them in a backpack to lighten the load. :)

@ARMANDII I wonder if the 'weather' up there would be any better for your observatory? :)

The solar power that could be utilized should greatly advance positive interest in any lunar endeavour. Unfortunately we are still anchored by today's needs.

Can't help mentioning that the shadowing reminds me of someone's behind :) a graceful. . And silent behind at that :) being a little cheeky...

Not exactly a smooth behind, Lori:hate-shocked::heehee:

Also, despite the clear skies on Saturday night when I took the images, there was a lot of clear air turbulence and the images are a little soft and not as sharp as they should be.

@ARMANDII I always appreciate the opportunity to view these images. The silence is overwhelming. The wonder never fails.

Seven, or whatever the count is now, wonders of the world, pale in comparison.

These images were taken on the night of the 19th January when the Moon was in it's first quarter.........
