After 25 years my pond sprang a leak and sadly had to be demolished so I emptied one of my raised beds out and have created a new pond

The new pond is almost completed.just the making good to do(decking around the perimeter )and the masonry painting brick red, pump.small water Lilly, and metal grill to fix and then the ghost carp to their new home:smile:

Good morning everyone ,well would you believe it just went and checked the new pond and the water has all gone,so I thought I have posted many projects over the years which were successes so I thought I really must show you when projects don't go to plan, not sure what to do next but I shall have to keep smiling and have a re-think:smile:

:wow: The elephant must have drunk all of it! Had you put a lining in there? Maybe it needs a tougher one or even two linings :noidea:

I'm sure you'll solve the problem. :blue thumb:

Good morning @shiney my friend its a complete mystery ,the lining is the toughest on the market, the inside of the raised bed is as smooth as a babies bottom and under the base of the liner it is bedded with sand,I shall wait until I have some daylight and have a closer look, have a good day my friend:smile:

Oh no Woo, all your hard work :phew: . Could the liner have pulled away from the sides of the raised bed perhaps. Or maybe a tear formed from the weight of the water. Did you buy new liner of reuse part of the old one? Did you have a pump running in the pond overnight Woo - another way for a pond to be emptied!
