Good afternoon all my friends,my new lawn was fine until two days ago,but now there is an area which is just not growing, would it be possible to just maybe lift the grass up and put some decent soil under it,or would you just cut it off and go for a larger border, thank you

I would lift the turf and see what’s under it if a client asked me what’s going on.
If it’s suddenly died back and it’s been watered I would ask if any chemicals have been on it or any type of tool in case it’s a spillage.

Good afternoon @Gail_68 and @Liz the pot well would you believe it it was caused by a sheet of pond liner which was not spotted bt Woo,there was a double layer of pond liner and silly Woo only removed one of the layers,so I hold my hands up:redface: I removed 6 turf and will save them for later, and transplanted 3 Euonymus and some more perennials in the new small border:smile:

My first thought was that dog had been using it as a toilet.

                  What?

Even that dog in the first photo by the seat?

He's got a guilty look about him.

@wiseowl, your garden is looking lovely. You made a good decision to turf that area. It must be lovely to sit out on that bench.

The appearance of areas like that so often indicate something buried. Quite often pathways, concrete or otherwise will show up. So glad you got it sorted.

I think it looks better the way you have it now Woo :). The piece of liner has given you that opportunity to add something else to an already lovely garden:)
