We've matching roller blinds on our two kitchen windows, they must be ten years old.
This morning I attempted to raise one and it came off the wall. The mechanism had jammed and and attempting to pull the cord pulled the bracket off the wall, which also broke.
No chance of getting a new matching blind, but a couple of minutes on e-Bay found me this.

Must be OK, they've sold over 1,600 and have 99.5% feed back.

    £2.75 with free postage.

    Job sorted!

@Doghouse Riley I've brought new weights off Amazon that haven't cost much for my vertical blinds :)

        Well done.

Some people even on here are "anti eBay."

For me it's the first port of call for anything. But I'll only buy from traders with a high sales count and a good feedback rating.

Many retailers use it. So there's always well known brands available.

I check the prices on eBay against those on retailer's internet sites and sometimes high street shops. Sometimes the prices are the same, but often eBay offer free postage. So that's the "deal breaker," for me.

We've opened yet another ebay account and just got yet another £10 off a £30 purchase code, and whilst checking out what I want to buy, yet again I've found ebay prices are both lower than suppliers' websites, but also offer free P&P.

For those not fully conversant with e-Bay. If you find what you're seeking, before, committing to buy, scroll down the page on which the item appears and you'll often find other examples offered by a different supplier that might be cheaper than the one you are about to purchase.

The only thing I usually buy on ebay is printer ink. It works out about £1 per cartridge. :blue thumb:

Almost everything else I try to buy from local shops and support my local community. If they're not available locally I buy through the internet. I can usually get the local shop to match, or nearly match, the internet price.

Well i'm not "anti eBay." :snorky: as I get my batteries for my e-cig off there ...good originals for the price plus tanks and like yourself make sure feed back is excellent and I do it with Amazon and compare prices and you can get some good bargains.
Same here Shiney used to pay the earth for original brother inks until we clocked them on ebay and we brought 2 of each colours and they work great
