    Unsure what these are but quite sure there not weeds, maybe some seeds ive put it and forgot about/something self seeded could be biennial i have a clump of them all in the same place.

      Hi @martin-f do you have any better images of the main stem? I wondered if it was square in section eg salvia or similar

          Hi Martin, they look like Verbena Bonariensis to me. Do you have this already as they do self-seed a lot.

            I think you've got it KFF many thanks, ive moved it now down by the pond recently but last year it was in this area, i like this plant the bees also like it the goldfinch was feeding from it late last early this year, i will introduce it in other areas and keep an eye on it taking over in future many thanks :).

                Thanks Caroline, yes i will be able to find homes for a few of them i am sure next door will take a few of my hands,

                I moved it down by the pond early this year, one thing i didn't consider if any part of the plants is poisonous to fish i best have a read up about that thanks again.
