    I enjoy some country music and have several cd's

    listen to some of Mary Guathier's music ... sad music, and the lyrics relate to her past ...very well recorded and you may enjoy some of her recordings (sounds better on proper hifi)

    Not a great fan of Alan Jackson but love C&W music from the traditional Hank Williams music to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and the other 'Highwaymen' and lots more. I guess it can sound 'samey' to some but not to me..........

      Lazydog, loved Marc Bolan and our friend lived 'down the road' from where he died in Wimbledon so have visited the site where he died in a Mini driven by his girlfriend ...



      We saw Three Dog Night in a concert with Dr Hook in the 70s in Alabama ... both brill ... cannot even tell you how it was in reality ...

              They were both great eras for music Vicky...I think. When I say 50s and 60s I mean Cliff, Elvis, Alvin Stardust. Billy Fury. Paul Anka, Neil Sedeka etc.

              And a ton I ca'nt bring to mind.

              Even today people are singing that era and thinking its new.........:heehee::heehee:

                6d, liked them all, but strangely was never a fan of Elvis although there were some songs I liked. Cliff whom I liked lives six months of the years 20 minutes form me ... how lucky is he I ask ... :heehee:

                I agree with you, there are many, many good artists and because I am on here tonight, t'other half and I are having a music night ... whey, hey ... and here is one we both have always loved ...
