It's Peperomia ferreyrae. It's from South America.
Don't over water it and place it in a bright position, but not in direct sunshine.

Thank you Michael. It seems that I had over watered it so I put it in a pot of perlite about a week ago to try and dry it out and moved it from my sunny kitchen windowsill. Am planning on repotting in a more free draining soil and keeping my fingers crossed :love30:

Good luck ! It actually looks all right in the photo. Maybe it will flower for you one day. Mine do, but they are not pretty flowers, typical Peperomia ones - green and spikey …

I have one although much smaller, it was sold at a flower stall with some succulents and can be grown and treated as almost the same. Mine had flower buds when I bought it which as @MichaelHewett says, are not pretty but look like upright rat's tails. Mine is in direct sunlight in the conservatory.

It was the pale green/yellow leaves that caught my eye and rang a few warning bells.

          Hi
Hi Strongylodon. I too have been treating it as a succulent and it did seem to be OK on the sunny windowsill but yet again I was over zealous with the watering:oopss: will see how it performs. :ThankYou:
