Seriously though, what a stunning cat, I love the ' relaxed mode' :)

Wild rabbit (got paw caught in our chicken wire round beans). OK after a bit of TLC. :)

A little earlier tonight I delivered another couple of 4ft high Naga plants to one of the nearby 'Indian' (actually Bangladeshi) restaurants. That's the seventh to that establishment and I have six more that have been ordered - they think it's a bargain at £5 each :dbgrtmb:. The staff have them for personal use.

Chilli seeds have arrived:blue thumb: will be starting them off next year, is it just a matter of sowing as normal?

Picked the last of the outdoor Trinidad Moruga Scorpions two days ago.

That will be just enough for thirteen chillies per bottle when they are turned into chilli sauce.

Picked the last of my chillies, golden ghost,Carolina Reeper and seven pot yellow, all very very very hot. I freeze them and use in fried red onions with garlic. Also put a bit in sausage casserole.

I've also put them in vinegar, not enough room in the freezer.

I've now sold the last of the Naga plants but the Shiney Hybrids are still going strong. They get hotter at this time of the year. Those plants (ten left) are for personal use. I eat four chillies a day.

I soak the seed of all members of the Solanaceae family for 24 hours and get dynamite germination at room temperature. Going one step further, tomato seed germinates freely left in a jar of water on a windowsill when you forget them!

We don't soak the chilli or tomato seeds as they go on to damp paper in the seed sprouter. It takes only four days for the Shiney Hybrids to germinate but about ten days for the Nagas.

I soak my chilli seeds ( in cold tea) , plant on top of good seed compost. I sow them end of January and germinate them in the airing cupboard, then bring them out into the light after 5-7 days.
