I think you are right looking at the pictures. I am pretty sure I never ordered any dill seeds this year or last, so I guess it was a dodgy ebayer charging me more for something cheap

Agree it does look like Dill to me too @Carllennon . I am currently in a fairly heated "discussion" with a dodgy Ebayer. Bought 2 computer mice and both have gone phut in less than 6 weeks, tremendous! They had the cheek to respond to me that it wasn't their fault as they were not the manufacturer, oh boy. The items were not expensive but I'm cross at the inconvenience. I have threatened trading standards as I think the items may well be counterfeit as ! cannot believe that the quality is what you would expect from quite a well know computer mouse manufacturer. Think they are cheap imitations. Enjoy the Dill. nice with salmon!

Ahh Silu I am on the other end of ebay dispute too. Sold a laptop that we dont need anymore because my partner finished uni, I refreshed it, has been working perfectly. but the guy said it was faulty and kept demanding a refund. I accepted the return request but he refused to return the laptop, saying he had no printer, threatened me with trading standards (I am not an ebay shop just an individual). kept asking me for refund directly, even sent me a picture of a broken fuzzy screen that wasnt even from the same model laptop I sent him and probably just google imaged it. His facebook page shows he sells 2nd hand laptops, in the end he said he binned it because it was faulty. I suspect he didnt send it back because it was fine and he had already sold it on and was just trying to scam me. I think I am going to give ebay a rest for a bit :)

Sorry you too are having problems. Ebay is not what it was unfortunately. I seldom use it these days and after my last experience I too will give it a wide birth. Pity as when it started up it was great to get rid of perfectly good but unwanted stuff and buy visa versa. As per it has been infiltrated by less than savory characters:):rolleyespink:

Looks more like Bronze Fennel than Dill (or Carrot) to me (but it's far too late for either to be flowering).

Do the leaves smell of aniseed?

Fennel is higher, but the flowers are almost identical, smell will be the best indicator :)

It smells a bit like cinnamon to be honest. and I just tried to dig one out, the root is very deep and thin, a fork wouldnt lift it and I couldnt pull it as it was too strong.

Fennel (and Dill) have deep, forked tap roots.

It's odd that they are flowering now, I would have expected ripe seeds at this time of year. Did you sow them very late, or perhaps do something else that has held them back?

P.S. That looks like a really nasty infestation of Creeping Cinquefoil around the bed in your image.

I dont remember when I planted them really.

Yes the Cinquefoil is a bit annoying, it was all over the whole bed when I moved in a year ago and cleared most of it. just around the edges now. I am revamping the bed in the new year and will be digging up all the bits around the edge. Going to turn it into 4 raised beds and gravel in between
