Solved very strange thing in plant pot

    IMG_20181106_141434.jpg IMG_20181106_141816.jpg i found this strange thing in a outside plant pot that i was clearing out the other day, it is very hard not soft and there was a worm half in it, i buried it back in the pot untill i can find out what it is. any ideas ? it all ready stumped one gardening expert.

    Zantedeschia (Calla lily) tuber? I'm assuming that you cleaned it up hence the colour.

      Calla Lily - a very different thing. They do self seed. It looks right as multiple stems grow from single tubers. Did you clean it off?

      I see where you are coming from @longk, I believe they grow a new tuber on the bottom of the old one each year.
      Have you got a picture of the plant pot when it was in growth during the summer @crocus

      I couldn't comment on that as mine are buried deep (20/25cm) in the garden.

        yes ive cleaned it off will repot and see what happens next year thankyou

          i had some busy lizzys i think and begonia type plants in the pot in summer here is pic of plants in flower IMG_20180709_100353.jpg

          Ahh, could it be a begonia corm, possibly too well cleaned, with all the skin missing from the bottom.
