We didn't need the shield as the rain kept off, although it looked a bit grim at times.

The wind was so strong at the end of the garden that I was unable to work down there. Lewis, who now helps in the garden, had to wear a face mask to work down there. The wind was so strong it was hard to breath and there were bits and pieces flying everywhere.

In the main part of the garden it was fairly sheltered so I got him to work there. :blue thumb:

Forecast for tomorrow is sunny all day so I suppose I should expect rain!

      Frozen.

      Biggest Schadenfreude moments though.

Today was recycle bin day, rubbish pick up, etc. We had freezing rain yesterday and my entire street is ice, flat, smooth, hard ... so when the high winds hit this morning, several bins "skated" their way down to the corner houses' drive ways. The same places that have the huge pie shaped back gardens where absolutely nothing is done to make them pretty. Or even useful. They are smug about their property and now they get all the rubbish too!

      Schadenfreude. ... Bad Lori....

@Loki I think that's what everyone has been saying about both of us since we were kids .

If any of our oblique references don't make sense then please just ask. :) We shall be happy to explain - if we actually know what we're talking about! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

It's fairly mild here again but very windy. The shield is up still so no rain but the promised sunshine hasn't yet made its presence felt.

Ugh...mega high winds. Sounds like the slate on the roof is moving...bit worried.

Ha ha I have had a schadenfreude moment also....the nasty neighbours sign they erected right infront of our lovely communal pond (which looks hideous - and they did it without asking the management company) has just blown away in the high winds. HA HA.

Schadenfreude or karma....either way, they deserve the hassle because they're horrid.

Expected rain but it’s a pleasant day. Some sunny spells, dry and still pretty warm :) Yippee!!
BUT, heavy rain is forecast later :noidea:

Ha ha Snorky! Karma indeed :)

Calming down a little bit now and had dried up. Hoping it stays that way as my two lovely neighbours are coming round and were having hot tub, gins and scoffing tonight. Looking forward to it. :ccheers:

Been pretty good here, dry, a bit windy but mostly sunny.
                            Clouded over now.

Schadenfreude is a German word meaning "taking a pleasure in someone else's misfortune". Kinda like "serves em right!"

It is 24f at the moment. The sun was out for at least 4 hours so it was nice to feel the warmth of it.

It's been dismal for the last couple of days with high winds and showers of light rain. It's a relief to close the curtains at night. 6C/43F.
