After taking a sieve to some leftover Westland MPC with John Innes and turning the heated propagator on for the first time, our first ever attempt at growing tomatoes from seed began today.

Got the seeds in a multipack from Wilko in their end of season sale last year.

All but one seed germinated John, I saved a couple of seeds in reserve as backup.

Now doing really well but reluctant to pot on and move to greenhouse as colder weather is forecast.... just don't know how cold and a week or two won't hurt.

5 out of 6 sprouted on damp kitchen paper. One got his cap stuck so I discarded it and 4 are all still at 2 leaf stage on the lounge window sill - north facing.

Hi, i have approx 8 germinated and growing, are my leaves ok though? They seem to be curling under a bit, maybe too warm in the house or is this how gardeners delight look? Thanks x
