Neither of us want to move, but age and infirmity make it necessary. We have to go and live closer to medical facilities, shops, public transport etc. My eyes are deteriorating so time will come when I can no longer drive. Where we are is 2 miles from the nearest bus stop, a 10 mile round trip to the Doctors, shops etc. The only way to A&E would be by expensive taxi or Ambulance (assuming they could find us, last time someone down here needed an ambulance, they could not find the lane). Amazon cannot find us either. Mobile phone signal is poor and Internet even poorer (no line based and never will be). It all adds up.

I understand and wish you well in your new place.

We're positioned a bit better than you with the nearest bus stop only one mile and that is in our village where we have the doctors' surgery and good village shop. Fortunately we're still able to drive.
