Thanks for all your good intentions, I know what's got to be done but I'm seriously private in nature and VERY reserved, wish I'd never let Carol know (not that I could hide it), I promise I will make that appointment....... Scared of Lori!

@Vince , if you haven't already made the appointment, put an alarm for tomorrow at 9am to make the call, then it's done.

Just as an example (as it's terribly dangerous and counterproductive to even suggest layman's diagnosis over the internet), a very common reason for a weight loss is thyroid issues, which can be fixed with a few pills. Most of my family has it one way or another.

The symptoms are unpleasant, would you really prefer to live with them, and have Carol live with them, plus the anxiety of worrying if it's something deadly? Or get the blood test and the prescription?

Go for it man. DO IT 9am TOMORROW. (And you have all the sympathy from another doctorophobic... been there and survived)

Life is too precious to waste on worrying about unknown.

 

It's done, double appointment next weekend, 9:10 and Carol is coming with me, I've bit the bullet!
