Carol has arranged for me to get my will witnessed tonight, she's the sole beneficiary, should I be worried?

Why do you think you should be worried Vince? Do you feel you're tempting fate by writing a will? Or, the fact Carol is your sole beneficiary?

        Hmmm.

I think I've more to worry about. Not only is my wife my sole beneficiary, she also has my lasting power of attorney.

I've hidden all the sharp knives and I keep a sharp look out for men in white coats with a plain van.

I'll never forget what ran through my mind when I was first figuring out who would be my power of attorney over my health/make medical decisions. At that time one of my sons was married to a real piece who ruled him... I pictured her by my bedside "it's a hangnail, it's a hang nail. Pull the life support!" Luckily they are no longer together... :heehee:

Don't worry. Unless she starts keeping the insurance papers in her purse, you should be okay

To be fair, I'm also the sole beneficiary in my wife's will and I have her lasting power of attorney.
So we both keep an eye on the other.
But it's a bit one-sided, If I die, she gets the house, the car, my musical instruments, my jukeboxes, my vintage audio equipment and my golf clubs.

If she dies, I get the house, a lot of costume jewellery, reams of card making kit and a hell of a lot of women's cosmetics and toiletries.

But it begs the question. Is she capable of making use of your collections or vice versa?

                Well.
She isn't musical, driving and golf are out because of her MS. She's not really interested in my jukeboxes and doesn't play CDs or records.

By the same token, I don't suit costume jewellery and if I need a card for someone, there's cheap card shops available.

Gun? The local wood pigeon population will soon find out I have one........... pigeon breast in a red wine sauce.....

As I'm still posting (or is it really me? ), Carol hasn't killed me yet! (Give her time)

Don't mention it too much  as the licences for doing that have been revoked whilst they sort out new legislation. :noidea: I'm presuming the pigeons fell out of the trees with shock at seeing you out there. :heehee:

No, you shouldn’t be worried Vince .....Carol is simply doing the right thing :) If things come to the worst at least some of the paperwork is in place :)

My nephew was found dead a couple of days ago. He lived for drugs and alcohol and been in and out of hospital regularly. Still a huge shock. Not seen him for 4 or 5 years but I thought about doing so a few weeks ago...wish I did now. :noidea: In future I will follow my gut instinct and not consider the logic for doing otherwise

Worry is the worst part of life I think Vince. It serves no useful purpose, changes nothing but spoils life so much often needlessly :noidea:
