Temperature just hit 35c - I don’t think there’s any gardening going to be done for the next few hours!!

We're south facing and when it's sunny and hot the sun really does bear down; our car sleeps on the driveway and in order to give some protection to its leather interior I simply attach an old folded bed sheet over its windscreen; I think its a double bed size; cotton ribbon tied securely to two corners secure the corners to the door handles whilst the bottom edges tuck neatly under the screen wipers. This cost nothing but makes a tremendous difference to reducing glare and heat inside the car; fitted and removed in a couple of minutes without damage to the cars paintwork; just thought I'd share it.

31c with slight breeze

 

Well it's scorchio here and I can't bare it...30 Degrees...
I was a jolly Loli at 5am walking my furry lad..almost broke out in to song .."Who will buy this wonderful morning" felt like Oliver Twist but then by 8am I was flagging...
It is glorious though and I shouldn't complain..besides it's been a good day for washing some of my furry lads teddies.

27c and sat in the garden chilling

 

It’s so hot my ice cream is melting.:rasp:
It is hot, no doubt of that, but a nice gentle cooling sea breeze has made it very pleasant indeed.
Two consecutive great summers ....can’t be bad

 

tis a tad warm here in Eastbourne. My legs stuck to my leather seats in my car which isn't a good look and...... Im melting...……….Im melting..... cackle cackle

 

It's too hot for me and the only time i go out is to walk the boys. No gardening at all until it cools down.
Might get thunderstorms at 3am tomorrow.

 

Now I reckon it's 22 degrees maybe up to 25 max..as you well know we can cope with the cold but this heat business is something we aren't that used to .
